Join us May 12-18 as we celebrate our nurses across UF Health! This year’s UF Health Nurses Week theme — “Rooted in … Leadership, Wellness, Innovation and Solidarity” — encourages us to recognize and celebrate how our nurses keep our organization grounded. - Nourish a Nurse: Sponsored by the Nurses Week Committee in collaboration with UF Health Development. By partnering with local community organizations & businesses, 25 nursing teams will be randomly selected to receive meals and treats throughout the week. Managers will be notified in advance of delivery and inform their teams accordingly.
- What keeps you Rooted? Sponsored by UF Health Shands Arts in Medicine. Write or illustrate what keeps you rooted with supplies provided in each unit’s Nurses Week packet throughout the week. Completed writing and illustration pieces will be collected and assembled into an installation on May 16 in the UF Health Shands Hospital Atrium.
- Where did you get your #NursingRoots? Many of you filled out the Qualtrics form about your “beginning story” in the nursing profession and how you established your #NursingRoots. Read about your colleagues in Empathy Corner, News+Notes and/or on UF Health social media channels during the month of May. Respondents will also be entered for the Wheel of Appreciation prize drawings.
A special thank you to the UF Health Nurses Week Committee, UF Health Shands Arts in Medicine, GatorCare and UF Health Development for their creativity and collaboration on activities throughout Nurses Week.
