Lauren Gajda

Lauren Gajda joined the UF Health Communications team in February 2016. She came to UF Health with more than five years of healthcare marketing experience and currently serves as the Marketing Coordinator for Pediatrics.

Originally from Coral Springs, Florida, Lauren came to Gainesville in 2001 to attend the University of Florida. Lauren graduated with her bachelor’s degree in advertising from UF in 2005. She then went on to complete her master’s degree in management from UF in 2006. During her master’s program, she interned at a local advertising agency and eventually worked there full-time for more than four years. After getting to know different clients in multiple industries, she realized she had a passion for healthcare. When she left the advertising agency, she took a job with an HCA hospital and was their marketing coordinator for five years. Lauren was excited when this opportunity to work for her Alma Mater presented itself, and she never looked back. Lauren loves to help people, so to combine her passion for helping people with a love for communications and marketing, she knows that working at UF Health is the perfect fit.

Lauren currently sits on the board for the Avnee Rawal Foundation and is also a committee member for the Ronald McDonald House of North Central Florida’s Red Shoe Society. When Lauren is not at work, she loves to travel, cheer on the Florida Gators, go to Disney World and spend time with family and friends. Her husband and daughter make her smile every day!
