Jeff West is UF Health’s system vice president of Managed Care.

The new role was established in recognition of the importance of strategic enhancement and continued execution of a managed care program in support of the mission and strategic goals of the One UF Health initiative.

“We are very excited for Jeff to be a part of UF Health,” said David R. Nelson, M.D., senior vice president for health affairs at UF and president of UF Health. “Jeff provides entrepreneurial leadership for One UF Health on its journey toward value-based contracting and population health management.”

West is responsible for the leadership and direction of all functional areas of managed care contracting and network development for UF Health in the Gainesville, Jacksonville and Central Florida markets.

Prior to joining UF Health, West served as the vice president of insurance services at the Lehigh Valley Health Network, or LVHN, in Allentown, Pennsylvania. LVHN consists of seven hospitals, employs over 1,100 physicians and affiliates with 300 independent physicians in the Lehigh Valley PHO. Prior to LVHN, West served as the director of managed care for Ochsner Health System in New Orleans.
