OUR MARCH OF DIMES TEAMS ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD

Teams from UF Health blasted off on a mission to save babies at the annual March of Dimes March for Babies event. On April 13, more than 60 employees volunteered or walked and “reached for the stars” to raise more than $40,778 for the cause.

Congratulations are in order for the UF Health Women’s Center team, which raised $6,282, finishing in second place overall for fundraising and first place among UF Health teams.

Thank you to all who participated and donated to fight for the health of moms and babies!

Brittany Purcell joined the UF Health Communications team in 2019 and serves as the marketing coordinator for UF Health Florida Recovery Center, UF Health Shands Psychiatric Hospital, psychiatry, obstetrics and gynecology, urology, emergency medicine/trauma, UF Health ShandsCair and pathology.

Originally from Clearwater, Fla., Brittany has a bachelor’s degree in health science from the University of Florida’s College of Public Health & Health Professions with a minor in business administration from the College of Business. After graduating, Brittany went on to obtain her master’s degree in health administration from the University of South Florida. Prior to her role at UF Health, Brittany worked as a marketing coordinator at Tampa Community Hospital. She then moved to Richmond, Va., where she worked as a marketing manager for HCA’s Capital Division covering projects for 17 hospitals and six freestanding emergency centers.
