Add a stamp to your passport as we embark on our engagement journey
Take the 2018 Employee Engagement Survey today!
As we settle into 2018, let’s pretend that one New Year’s resolution made it out of January — a promise to improve all aspects of our lives, including our workplace. How can we make that happen? We can build on what we learned throughout 2017 in our Hospitality Huddles, which promoted communication and teamwork among colleagues and an enhanced environment that ultimately improves the experience of our patients, who are at the heart of all we do.
The next step to strengthen our work experience is to take the annual UF Health Employee Engagement Survey this month. Taking this survey allows us to share input on what we like about working here, and what we can do to create an even better work environment.
“All of us at UF Health Shands are committed to providing an excellent patient experience,” said Greg Hollingshead, UF Health Shands Human Resources Development director. “To do so, we need engaged staff: The Employee Engagement Survey helps us identify our successes and assess our opportunities for improvement.”
Participating in the survey gets you an important stamp in your passport — it gives you a voice and a chance to provide constructive feedback that will directly impact our work environment. By expressing your views in the survey, you’ll help our leaders continue to foster a culture of engagement and teamwork. Our goal is to ensure we provide our patients with the best quality care and attentive service — and engaged employees are the key to delivering a great patient experience.
Ed Jimenez, UF Health Shands CEO, encourages employees to use the survey to provide important feedback and to answer the open-ended questions at the end of the survey. He reads every comment that is submitted in the last section of the survey.
“It’s important for the employees to know that we are listening and improving as an organization,” Jimenez said. “The feedback and comments that are provided can help us achieve those goals and keep us going in the right direction.”
WHO CAN TAKE THE SURVEY?
The survey is open to all UF Health Shands employees and UF employees in integrated core service departments.
HOW DO YOU TAKE THE SURVEY?
The survey went live March 5 and is open through midnight on March 26. Take it at work or at home. A link to the online survey was sent to your work email and can also be found on the Bridge: Visit Bridge.UFHealth.org, click the “Employee Services” tab and you’ll see “HR, Admin & Benefits.” Select “HR Gainesville – Shands” and then choose “Employee Engagement Survey Headquarters” from the Quick Links listed on the right.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
On average, employees spend 10-15 minutes taking the survey. A few minutes of your time will shape our work environment for years to come.
IS THE SURVEY CONFIDENTIAL?
Yes. Your responses go directly to our survey administrator, Press Ganey Associates. At least five respondents must be included for a report to be generated for UF Health Shands managers to ensure anonymity. Please note: While your name and employee ID won’t be attached to any of your answers, managers will receive their team members’ open-ended responses word for word.
WHY ARE WE ASKED TO PROVIDE OUR EMPLOYEE ID NUMBERS?
Your employee ID will only be seen by our third-party survey administrators, and it
is used to properly categorize our employees by teams.
